Bet Desert Diamond offers several different types of wagers across hundreds of available markets. Some of the more popular bet types include:
Moneyline: A Moneyline bet is a wager on the winner of an event between two sides. This is the most common bet you'll find on the majority of sports, where a winner is expected on every event. On events where a tie is more likely to occur, such as soccer, the Moneyline bet may give an extra option to wager on a tie, known as a "1X2". For example: the Phoenix Suns are playing the Houston Rockets. A bet on the Suns to beat the Rockets is a Moneyline wager.
Spread: A Spread bet is a wager on a team's margin of victory. You can wager that a team will win by at least the number listed (shown as a "negative") or that a team will not lose by more than the number listed (shown as a "positive"). For example: the Spread on the Phoenix Suns is -5. A Spread bet here means you are wagering that Phoenix will win by at least 5 points. If they win by 5 or more points, your wager will win. If they win by less than 5, or lose the game, your bet will lose. If the Spread is +5, you are wagering that the team will not lose by more than 5. If they lose by 5 points or fewer points, or win the game, your bet will win. If they lose by more than 5, your bet will lose. The spread is known as a "Run Line" for baseball markets and the "Puck Line" for hockey markets
Totals: A Totals bet, also known as an "Over/Under" bet, is a wager on the total number of points in a given event. For example: in a game between the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets, the Totals are 220. A wager on the Over is a bet that the two teams will combine to score more than 220 points. A wager on the Under is a bet that the two teams will combine to score fewer than 220 points.
Prop Bets: Prop bets are bets on specific outcomes during the match. These can include Game Props (such as a bet on the Arizona Cardinals to score the first touchdown in a football match) and Player Props (such as a bet on Kyler Murray to throw for more than 1.5 touchdowns in an Arizona Cardinals match)
Future Bets: In addition to individual matches, wagers can be placed on the outcome of a season or tournament. These markets are known as 'Future Bets', and may be offered on the performance of an individual team or individual player.
These bets can be added to your betslip as the wager types below:
Single ('Straight') Bet: A Single bet (also known as a Straight bet) is a wager on a single outcome. For example, this could be choosing the Arizona Diamondbacks to beat the Colorado Rockies in a baseball game, the Arizona Wildcats to beat the Colorado Buffaloes by 5 or more points, or the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets to score a combined 220 points or more in a game.
Parlay Bet: A Parlay bet (also known as a Combination or Multi bet) allows a player to combine two or more outcomes into a single bet. Each outcome added to the parlay decreases the odds and increases the payout as each outcome (or ‘leg’) must be settled as a win for the player to win their parlay bet. A loss of any leg will result in a loss of the entirely parlay bet. Wager and sport types can be mixed on a parlay though correlated wagers cannot be combined into a parlay (i.e., both sides of a moneyline or a moneyline + spread). If one of the legs is settled as 'void', 'push', or 'no action', that leg is removed from the parlay: a 3 leg parlay where one leg is settled as 'void' becomes a 2 leg parlay. A 2 leg parlay where one leg is settled as 'void' becomes a straight wager.
Same Game Parlay: A Same Game Parlay (also known as a 'BetBuilder' parlay) is a parlay wager where the legs are from the same event. For example: a wager on an Arizona Cardinals against the Los Angeles Rams could include a leg on the Cardinals to win along with a leg on Kyler Murray to throw more than 1.5 touchdowns in the match. This combination of outcomes will provide a more favorable return than wagering on the two outcomes separately, though each leg of this parlay bet will need to win for the bet to settle as a win. Unlike a traditional parlay, if one of the legs of a Same Game Parlay is settled as 'void', the entirely Same Game Parlay is settled as 'void'
Round Robin: A Round Robin (also known as a 'System Bet') combines a number of different outcomes on a single ticket as a combination of parlay bets. For example: a parlay of 4 moneyline bets on NFL games could be combined as 4 single bets, 6 two-selection Round Robin bets, 4 three-selection Round Robin bets, one 4-leg parlay, or a combination of all outcomes. While the return on a Round Robin is not as favorable as the return on a Parlay bet, not every selection needs to settle as a win for a Round Robin to pay out.
